About Us

A one-stop shop for your behavior consulting needs - and beyond. What is the beyond? An unwavering commitment to “outside the box” comprehensive behavior planning.

Who We Are

We are Board-Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) with diverse training and 25 years of combined experience. We have experience working with different populations in home, educational, community, and group residential settings. Behavior + Beyond was created to address the need for quality personalized behavioral treatment for individuals with developmental disabilities. While early intervention and services for children are crucial in building a solid foundation, many individuals with developmental disabilities need access to behavior support throughout their lives. That’s where we come in.

Our Team

Alexandra Beck, BCBA

Alex brings over 8 years of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, including 4 years of experience working in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis. She holds a Masters degree in Applied Behavior Analysis and a Bachelors in Interdisciplinary Studies: Speech Pathology, Anthropology and Rhetoric Writing. Alex developed a love for working with individuals with special needs while providing care to a young girl with Cerebral Palsy. Since then, she worked in the San Diego Unified School District as an inclusionary aid and saw the benefits of having behavioral support beyond the home and into the community and group settings.

Alex provided direct ABA services in the clinical and home setting before supervising and training staff on ABA techniques. She is committed to helping clients reach their full potential through effective, evidence-based strategies. Alex continues to further her research and training in the field to meet the diverse needs of every client.

Justine Gersberg, BCBA

Justine holds her Masters in Special Education with an emphasis in Autism and Developmental Disorders from University of British Columbia. She has 13 years of experience in home, school, clinic, community, and group residential settings. Justine earned her BCBA certification in 2018. She has practiced in Canada and in the United States, navigating program requirements across various public and private funding sources. As a behaviorist, Justine uses a logical yet compassionate approach with clients and their caregivers. Justine is interested in the science behind behavior change and deep diving into the theoretical foundations of our work. However, she is most rewarded by helping others.

“Seeing my clients learn and grow is truly the joy of my career. I love seeing everyone’s hard work come together to create meaningful changes for my clients and those around them.”
